The History of Grooving since 1999...

Well, I'd like to say that Chicagogroove.com was started by a couple of record producers at a business lunch who were hell bent on starting a website that would show their love for HOUSE music. In reality, Chicagogroove.com was first conceived on a napkin in a bar after a couple of shots of tequila and Corona chasers. Two wannabe DJ's who had separate webpages decided to combine their efforts and buy a domain name. We went through a lot of names before we settled on the name we now have. We bought the name and ran into a road block. We wanted to stream our mixes and have an MP3 library on our site, but every service that offered us space didn't support anything that we wanted to do. That's where Orin comes in. He was kind enough to let us attach our beloved GROOVE2 to his servers (THANKS MAN, Dave and I were getting worried there for a while). Now we were getting somewhere. After a lot of trial and error, we figured out how to stream audio and had become masters at fixing GROOVE2 on the fly (Duct tape and Crazy Glue). ChicagoGroove has met alot of new people since the site started including most of the DJ's in Chicago and more house heads than you can count. We are eager to meet alot more like them. Friends that were there from the beginning, Dave and I thank you.
